Put on your dancing shoes, everybody. The Rep is ready to roll.

To celebrate its upcoming production of "Native Gardens," the Arkansas Repertory Theatre is throwing a salsa night party on Thursday, April 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Main Street Creative Corridor.

The show explores the unexpected joys and complications of getting to know your neighbors, which is why The Rep will host this mix-and-mingle event at Cranford Co., their neighbors across the street.

"Latin dance is used during transitions in 'Native Gardens,' so we thought our patrons might have fun trying a little salsa themselves," director of education Anna Kimmell said, "Plus, 'Native Gardens' is a play about bringing different groups of people together. We hope this event does that."

Guests will enjoy drinks and eats along with their newfound dance skills from pro Latin dance instructors Sarah and Rick Pinedo. Singles and couples are both welcome to get in on the fun and out on the dance floor.

"Native Gardens" opens Friday, April 19. For tickets and more information, visit The Rep's website and follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
