Practice makes perfect.

Sure, perfect skin isn’t really in the cards for anyone, but that doesn’t mean healthy, vibrant skin is out of reach. And a big part of how you get there is by practicing a skin care routine based around your specific needs.

“To maintain lifelong healthy skin, consistency is key,” licensed aesthetician Chotsie Adney says. “Good results with any goals require routine. Don’t skip steps; each one is there for a reason. Follow your aesthetician’s advice based on your skin type and goals, and you can achieve healthy, beautiful skin.”

Adney and her team at Advanced Aesthetics of Arkansas mapped out the ideal morning and evening skin care routines for four basic skin types. Follow these steps and you’ll be well on your way to your best skin.

Pro Tip: If your skin becomes severely inflamed and needs something extra to help calm it down, try the Phyto Corrective Masque by SkinCeuticals to take the heat out of your skin.

Oily Skin

  • Clarifying cleanser
Pro picks: SkinCeuticals Clarifying Exfoliating Cleanser or Therapon Clarifying Cleanser
  • Topical antioxidants for tone improvement and smoothness
Pro pick: SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Gel ►
