Wildwood Park for the Arts will host its Wildwood Winter Festival on Friday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 9.
Both dates will kick off with caroling, mulled wine and hot cocoa and holiday treats in Wildwood's south lobby. Guests will then be treated to a production of the classic tale of "Amahl and the Night Visitors." After the show, the fun continues with more drinks, treats and a visit from Santa.
The play centers around young Amahl, who has recently injured his leg and can no longer herd sheep to support his family. Their fortunes change when three royal visitors appear at their doorstep, seeking shelter on their way to greet a newborn king.
“The singing, dancing and beautifully complex music in this show will transport audiences to another place and time, filling them with the spirit of Christmas,” said Director Bevan Keating.
Festivities on Dec. 7 begin with the pre-show party at 6:30 p.m., followed by the show at 7:30. Festivities on Dec. 9 begin with the pre-show party at 2 p.m., followed by the show at 3. To purchase tickets, head to Wildwood's website.
