It's beginning to look (and feel) a lot like Christmas. The Downtown Little Rock Partnership will once again host Bright the Night, its annual tree lighting ceremony, on Monday, Nov. 22, at Capitol Plaza on the corner of Capitol Avenue and Main Street.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with holiday music from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra followed by the lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Attendees can also enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, caroling and the chance to meet Santa and some of your favorite winter characters.

In 2020, organizers decided to forego the lighting bash in favor of a COVID-safe, drive- and walk-thru experience. This year's scene will feature similar high-tech sets and decor combined with the local favorite kickoff event to open the downtown winter wonderland.

Both the event and holiday installation are free and open to the public, and will be on display through early January.
