And because everybody wants to shop smoothly, we’ve compiled some pro tips to help you have the very best holiday shopping adventure:
-
Scope out parking ahead of time. It can get a little hectic trying to park on the street, but there are two secure decks closeby: the Convention District Public Parking (201 Main St.) and Robinson Center Parking Deck at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel (424 W. Markham St.).
- Buy a raffle ticket (or two) when you arrive. JLLR hosts a famously amazing raffle every year. Past prizes have included designer handbags, a trip to Disney World, fine jewelry and even a car.
- Keep your phone charged. Pick up an inexpensive pocket charger before you head to Holiday House. It'll come in handy when you inevitably get separated from your group or even to keep notes on which booths to circle back to after your initial window shopping pass.
- If you prefer crowd-free shopping, snag a ticket for the private shopping event Thursday morning. Trust us, it's worth it.
Proceeds from Holiday House generate more than 80 percent of all funding for JLLR's community service projects in areas such as children’s literacy and health and wellness. For more information on how to get involved, visit the JLLR website.
