No one's calling this party the blues.
The 2018 Gala for Life is being taken over by Sir Elton John (kind of) on Friday, Sept. 7. Hosted at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock, this annual UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute (WRCI) fundraising event is a night out on the town in feather boa fashion.
The evening is one full of cocktails, dinner and dancing the night away to the live sounds of Remember When Rock Was Young: The Elton John Tribute, whose front man was heralded as "one of the most talented people I have ever worked with" by Mr. Barry Manilow.
Proceeds from this year’s event benefit the UAMS Bone Marrow Transplant Program. Funds will go toward supporting training programs, critical technology and research needed at the WRCI.
It all begins at 6:30 p.m. Get your tickets here or contact (501) 686-7327 or RSVP@uams.edu for more information. Visit the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute website for more on the treatment center.
