It's not often that a world-renown yoga instructor comes to Little Rock. Blue Yoga Nyla owner Stacey Reynolds has taken several classes with Seane Corn and jumped at the opportunity to host Corn at her studio for a five-day immersion workshop July 28 - Aug. 1. Blue Yoga Nyla is one of the three studios in the U.S. hosting this training.
Reynolds calls the workshop "part practice, part lecture and deep inquiry into incorporating the language of the spirit into a yoga class or yoga experience." The experience is open to yoga instructors and seasoned yogis, alike. No prerequisites are required for this course, other than a solid understanding of sun salutations A and B.
Each day there will be asana practice, discussion and workshop. The workshop begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 4:30 p.m. each day with a 90-minute break for lunch.
"To conclude the immersion, you will receive five sequences to practice and teach as well as unique prayers written by Seane that you are free to use and explore in your own teaching and practice," Reynolds says. "This training will ultimately shed light on just how powerful and inspirational you can be and offer tools for sharing your unique self-expression on your mat and with your students."
