Bookworms, rejoice. The book sale your shelves have been craving is almost here.

Thanks to the next Friends of Central Arkansas Libraries (FOCAL) Used Book Sale on March 9-11 your shelves (and wallets) will have never been happier. And did we mention paperbacks will be $1 and hardbacks will be $2?

Located in the basement of the main library campus, sale hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with free admission. A FOCAL membership will get you into the preview shopping event on Thursday night from 5-7 p.m. Memberships will be available for purchase onsite during the sale or online at any time.

Another perk of membership? You get 50% off gently read books at The Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square on Thursday during business hours of 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The book sale helps provide funds for the library's Six Bridges Book Festival, Summer Reading Club, Arkansas Sounds concerts and other public programs across CALS’ 14 branch locations.

The sale also comes amid the planning stages for big renovations at CALS Main, and could be one of the final sales held in this setting. Click here to read the initial announcement, and catch up on the latest here.
