It's that time again. Soccer is on everyone's mind, but if you're not sure who to root for in this summer's U.S.-less World Cup, or even if you're simply looking for a unique, family-friendly Thursday night, make the trip to War Memorial Stadium and support your local minor league soccer team.
The Little Rock Rangers Soccer Club is now in its third season with its men's team and second season with the women's team. Both teams consist of college-age athletes from around the world who are here to play for your city this summer.
Games are played at War Memorial Stadium and feature traditional concession stand eating options, as well as various food truck vendors who serve throughout the games. Local craft beer, typical domestics and wine are available as well.
For the uninitiated, games consist of two 45-minute halves and a 15-minute halftime. The clock doesn’t stop, so there’s nonstop action, and attendees are able to see a game and be back home within a couple of hours.
To whet your soccer appetite, the men's and women's teams are hosting the Demize Club out of Springfield, Missouri in a double-header feature this Thursday, June 21. The women kick off at 5 p.m. and men start at 7:30 p.m.
Ticket prices for the double-header are $15 for adults and children 12 years and older, and $7 for children 11 years and under. Tickets for the individual games are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
