Trinity Episcopal Cathedral

Presented by the Arkansas Cinema Society, "The Phantom of the Opera" will have a special screening at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral on Saturday, March 3. The silent film will be screened along with a live performance of the film's iconic score from organist Scott Foppiano.

The 1925 version is an American film adaptation of Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel "Le Fantôme de l'Opéra." In the film, the deformed Phantom haunts the Paris Opera House, causing murder and mayhem in an attempt to make the woman he loves a star.

In addition to the live performance, local food trucks will be set up in the courtyard slinging snacks and drinks for the evening.

Foppiano, born and raised in Memphis, discovered his love for organ music while playing during intermissions and overtures at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Memphis. Since then, he has built a successful career in the states, Canada and Europe.

Tickets for the March 3 screening are now available for $15. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. You can grab tickets online.

If "Raiders of the Lost Ark" is more your style, the ASO will perform the score live along with a showing of the film for their last Acxiom Pops Live! concert of the season.
