The Capital Hotel and Esse Purse Museum are joining forces to present a Sac Brunch. The event on Oct. 29 will feature French artist Nathalie Lecroc and her iconic hand-drawn bags.
Lecroc is known for her illustrations of purses and their contents, showing viewers a darling fragment of the modern woman. In 1998 she began collecting her illustrations for a future book titled “Petite Anthologie de Sacs.” With the goal of 1,001 illustrations total, Lecroc is nearing the end after nearly two decades of drawing. She will demonstrate her process during the Sac Brunch and one lucky attendee will have their name drawn for Lecroc to draw their bag and include it in her upcoming book.
“Miss Lecroc’s work aligns with ESSE’s belief that a handbag and its contents are extensions of a woman’s essence. We are pleased to bring in Nathalie to help us fulfill our mission of celebrating and honoring women,” said Anita Davis, ESSE Purse Museum founder and owner.
Sac Brunch guests will enjoy mimosas and brunch fare while viewing Miss Lecroc’s live illustrations. The brunch will take place at the Capital Hotel on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tickets are $48 per person and can be purchased online.
To have your purse entered to win a spot in Lecroc’s purse anthology, guests can purchase a $25 raffle ticket at the ESSE Purse Museum or call (501) 916-9022. Raffle tickets are available for purchase through Friday, Oct. 27.
