There are two kinds of people in this world: those who are already deep into Halloween planning, and those who didn't even realize October is upon us until right now.

But all kinds are about to get excited.

Ron Robinson Theater, part of the Central Arkansas Library System’s Main Library campus downtown, just announced dates for its returning fall film series Boos & Booze featuring Halloween flicks and special beer selections. Theatergoers can now catch classic and cult favorite scary movies on Tuesday nights through the end of October for just $5 a ticket.

Here's the lineup:

  • Oct. 2 - "The Exorcist" — The kickoff event features Arkansas native and stuntwoman Ann Miles, who performed the famous “spider walk” stunt in the extended cut of the classic 1973 horror film. At 6 p.m., Miles will answer questions about her role in the film followed by the screening at 6:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 9 - "The Addams Family"
  • Oct. 16 - "Halloween"
  • Oct. 23 - "Scream"
  • Oct. 30 - "Hocus Pocus" (produced in northwest Arkansas)

Showtime each night is at 6 p.m., but we suggest showing up early to get in on the special offerings at the concession stand.
