Now that the holidays are upon us, it's time to turn our attention to the finer things in life, to fall and winter and all their lovely trappings. The Governor's Mansion announced its upcoming event lineup just in time to put us in the holiday spirit.

Starting off the season is the annual Christmas open house on Sunday, Dec. 8. From 1-4 p.m., guests are free to tour the mansion and experience the elegant seasonal decor that only comes once a year. The day will also serve as an official toy drop site for the Marine Toys for Tots campaign.

Next up is a Christmas tea on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. Along with scrumptious bites and teas, guests will also enjoy the sounds of the Coral Group from Episcopal Collegiate School at this ticked event.

Finally, a children's Christmas tea will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. This particular event features a child-friendly menu, a visit from Santa Claus and a special Christmas ornament to take home.
