Listen up, cool cats. Jazz in the Park is officially here for its spring season this month.
This family-friendly event takes over the Riverfront Park downtown twice a year, but no one seems to mind, if that gives you any indication as to what a local favorite it is.
Jazz in the Park is a free concert every Wednesday in April at the History Pavilion amphitheater. There's limited seating available, but this is the ideal situation to break out the picnic blankets and lawn chairs.
At the park, you can purchase water, soft drinks, beer and wine with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Art Porter Music Education scholarship fund. But no coolers allowed, folks.
Here’s a look at the upcoming Jazz in the Park spring 2020 lineup, including a few new faces:
- April 1 – Sounds So Good
- April 8 – UA Little Rock Jazz Ensemble
- April 15 – Off the Cuff
- April 22 – TwiceSax
- April 29 – Butterfly of New Orleans, Katrice Newbill
Shows start at 6 p.m. In case of rain, the shows will go on in the West Pavilion.
