A rendering of the future Bridges restaurant in the DoubleTree by Hilton in Little Rock.

You're probably aware of all the hullabaloo surrounding the Robinson Center renovations, but did you know that the DoubleTree Hotel next door is also going through an overhaul of its own? And more importantly, the restaurant in that hotel is getting a complete makeover.

With plans to open in conjunction with the Robinson Center in just a few weeks, the DoubleTree restaurant is currently under construction and en route to becoming a destination for tourists and locals alike.

The restaurant's new name? Bridges. This is a nod to Little Rock's many bridges and in particular the nearby Broadway Bridge.

Bridges' brand new menu will include casual, Southern cuisine with a "unique flair," according to the hotel's General Manager Tina Fleming. She told our sister publication, Arkansas Business, that the restaurant will be more upscale than a standard fried food joint and also offer some healthier options.

The restaurant bar is also tripling in size and will be able to seat 18.
