‘James and the Giant Peach’ Opens at The Studio Theater This Week

Tell the dancing grasshopper he’s on in five.

Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s novel “James and the Giant Peach” is coming to The Studio Theater stage in downtown Little Rock.

This play is based on the classic book, following the adventures of a boy who escapes the clutches of his wicked aunts by flying away in a ginormous magic peach filled with ginormous magic (and opinionated) insects.

As an added bonus, the theater will host a special performance night on Friday, Aug. 12, where proceeds will help support Project Zero, an organization dedicated to spreading awareness about the local foster care system. Patrons will also invited to donate school supplies in the lobby throughout the show’s run that will go to foster care training program The Call.

“James and the Giant Peach” opens on Thursday, Aug. 11 and will run at the community theater through Aug. 21. Click here to purchase your tickets.

The Studio Theatre is located at 320 W. 7th St. Learn more about them on their website, and give them a follow on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
