Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center embraces a distinctive philosophy of family-centered care. Briarwood offers long- and short-term care. It provides nursing services for seniors with serious illnesses and disabilities 24 hours a day, delivered by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nurse’s aides.
In 2012, Briarwood expanded and added a 30-bed Rehabilitation Unit with all private rooms and a spa-like environment. The rehabilitation team offers speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy. The Center caters to patients requiring short-term rehab while recovering and those who require long-term nursing and medical supervision. Respite care is also available for family members who provide in-home care.
Briarwood’s goal is always to enhance the mind, body and spirit of its residents. A variety of activities are always available for the residents’ interests. Briarwood also supports many charitable organizations. The residents particularly enjoy sponsoring children’s charities.
Designed with comfort and security in mind, amenities include a 24-hour staff, three spacious dining areas, housekeeping, laundry, barber and beauty services, social and recreational areas, transportation and pharmacy services and on-site security.
“The journey of selecting a place like Briarwood Nursing Center is the beginning of a journey for yourself and your loved one. But it is the end of your journey that really counts. For seven years my mother and myself received love, care and compassion at Briarwood. It is important that in the final part of your journey that you can look back and say, ‘Thank God I selected Briarwood.’ You’ll know then that your decision for your loved one was correct from the beginning to the end. And that, my friend, gives you such comfort and peace.” — Rick Fleetwood, son of Jean Fleetwood
