Let the show begin! Ballet Arkansas' annual spring Turning Pointe Gala will celebrate its 11th year on Saturday, April 1, at Chenal Country Club.
With the theme "Tango Rojo," this year’s premiere fundraiser comes with an Argentine flair designed to be "a celebration of South American dance, music and cuisine." The festivities kick off with cocktails and live music by JAZZ R US, followed by live and silent auctions, dinner, a full performance by the Ballet Arkansas company dancers and more dancing and music from Dizzy 7.
Board members Amber Bagley and Amy Galdamez are chairing the evening, which will also honor The Athletic Club CEO Frank Lawrence with the Above the Barre Award for his longtime dedication to furthering the arts in Arkansas.
Funds raised at the event will support Ballet Arkansas' world-class education programs and performances for more than 40,000 Arkansans each year.
The cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. Tickets and more information are available here.
