Get ready for one of the most adorable events around. Paws on the Runway, the annual CARE for Animals fundraiser, is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Sunset Lodge at Rusty Tractor Vineyards.
Making its grand return this fall, this canine fashion show (yes, really) is a local favorite for obvious and aww-inducing reasons. With a theme of "Dogchella," the 2021 event is breaking out the flower power "because rescue never goes out of style."
At the show, guests will enjoy a glamorous evening with food, drinks and a silent auction. They'll also get to to meet a few of CARE’s adoptable animals, and might even recognize a few of the human faces on the runway. There's also a virtual option for folks wanting to take part from home.
Proceeds from Paws on the Runway benefit Central Arkansas Rescue Effort (CARE) for Animals Inc., a nonprofit animal rescue and spay/neuter organization whose purpose is to rescue dogs and cats facing euthanasia from local animal control facilities and to decrease the number of homeless and abandoned animals through aggressive spay/neuter programs.
