Avast! We’ve got another team-up from The Rep Stone’s Throw Brewing on the horizon! Ok, so technically it’s, like, right now, but pirate speak is hard and we’re excited.
To celebrate the upcoming show “Peter and the Starcatcher”—the origin story of the boy who never grows up—the two have dreamed up a “dark mild” English-style brown ale with light to medium roasted notes. Sounds like the perfect pirate’s brew, no? Now they just want you to name it.
Starting Wednesday, Jan. 13, through Friday, Jan. 15, you can submit your brew names online by clicking here. The top five will be announced on Saturday, Jan. 16, and everyone gets the chance to vote by liking their favorite name on Facebook. The name with the most likes wins, and voting ends Monday, Jan. 18.
The winning name will be announced at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18. The winner will receive a growler of the beer and two tickets to “Peter and the Starcatcher.”
You can find the ale at Stone’s Throw throughout the play’s run, Jan. 20-Feb. 14, as well as in Foster’s, located on the first mezzanine at The Rep. And don’t miss a night of pub trivia at Stone’s Throw hosted by the theater on Thursday, Feb. 4.
Tickets to “Peter and the Starcatcher” are available now. You can purchase yours online by visiting The Rep’s website. You can also call (501) 378-0405 or stop by the theater’s box office downtown at 601 Main St., Little Rock.
