Nothing is better than vegging out on the couch after a huge Thanksgiving feast, watching football through a bleary, tryptophan-induced haze, right?

To help you earn a few more minutes on the couch, Go! Running’s annual Go!bbler Turkey Trot is back, taking runners and walkers of all ages through The Heights and Hillcrest on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28.

This free event has become a tradition for many central Arkansans with prizes for best costumes, photos with Santa, pie giveaways and more family fun along your choice of 3-, 4- or 6.5- mile courses. New this year is the Tiny Trot, a closed-course loop that starts and finishes in front of the shop for ages 8 and younger.

The best part? In place of an entrance fee, participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Arkansas Foodbank.

The run begins at 8 a.m. at Go! Running, located in The Heights at 1819 N. Grant St.

For more information, check out the running shop's website and follow the fun on Facebook and Instagram.
