PopUp in the Rock Heads to Southwest Little Rock

PopUp in the Rock is setting its sights on southwest Little Rock this year, highlighting the many opportunities to live, work and play in the area. Led by Create Little Rock, the Little Rock Regional Chamber’s young professionals group, PopUp in the Rock is a community development initiative that focuses on enhancing local city areas with underdeveloped potential.

The pop-up kicks off on Oct. 5 at the intersection of Forbing and Geyer Springs. During the coming weeks, there will be pop-up shops and a food truck pavilion. This year’s event will also feature guided canoe trips and bike rides in the area.

Here’s the full line-up of events on Oct. 5:

  • PopUp Yoga in the Rock: 9-10 a.m.

  • Southwest bike cruise: 10-11 a.m.

  • PopUp Market begins: 10 a.m. 

  • Food truck service starts: 11 a.m.

  • Fourche Creek float tours: 3 sessions at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. (sign-up required)

  • Salsa lessons: 3 p.m.

  • Performance by Joe Band: 4 p.m.

  • Performance by WeFew: 5:30 p.m.

  • Movie on the Lawn: 7 p.m. (bring your own blanket)
