Last weekend, audiences filed into Verizon Arena and turned back the clock to enjoy the classic ‘90s sounds of The Smashing Pumpkins and Liz Phair.
After celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” in 2015, the alt-rock icons set out on the “In Plainsong” tour, an acoustic-electric show featuring stripped-down versions of the music.
Singer-songwriter Liz Phair — whose 1993 debut album “Exile in Guyville” made Rolling Stone’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” — also joined the tour.
Our photographer, Mark Wagner, captured a few moments from the NLR show. Take a look.
