Oxford American to Host Inaugural Gala

Mark Oct. 14 on your calendars for a night of drinks, dancing and of course, some literature. The Oxford American is hosting the inaugural gala to support the ongoing work of the Oxford American magazine.

With a catchy name that brings a few of the best things together into one night, Books, Bourbon & Boogie will be held at South on Main beginning at 7 p.m. The night will feature world-class bluegrass from Jerry Douglas Presents The Earls of Leicester, featuring the classic tunes of Flat & Scruggs.

If that wasn’t enough of an incentive, there will be Southern-style BBQ by South on Main’s Chef Matthew Bell, live and silent auction items and signature cocktails, beer and wine.

Tickets are $200 per person and can be purchased online or by phone, (501) 374-0000, ext. 201. Keep in mind that a limited number of tickets will be available.
