DESCRIPTION:Thea Foundation is excited to announce Thea Paves the Way\, a collaborative sidewalk chalk art event\, will be held September 21 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.! As always\, we are honored to partner with the Clinton Presidential Center. This year’s event aims to inspire civic engagement through art\, prompting participants to explore different ways that youth can help their communities. All participants (school\, family\, church\, and community groups) will be asked to incorporate this theme into their work. Participating students and team leaders will receive free admission to the Clinton Center. The event is first come\, first served\, with approximately 100 spaces available. DESCRIPTION:CC Mercer will unveil her latest show “Leo Season” at the third installment of Thea’s Art Department presented by Delta Dental of Arkansas during the month of August. A celestial offering from the compass to the cosmos\, “Leo Season” is an ancestral homage to those that live\, transform\, and transcend into the stars. It is mythical\, spiritual\, and factual in nature\, charting a fresh interpretation of the Zodiacs. \nThe show will open with a reception at Thea Foundation\, August 1 from 5:00pm-7:30pm. Refreshments will be served and very one is welcome. The show will also be on display during Argenta Arts District Third Friday Art Walk August 16\, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Guests are welcome to visit the Thea Gallery during normal working hours\, Monday-Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
