Local Businesses Help Old State House Museum Celebrate Arkansas’ 185th Birthday

Arkansas celebrates 185 years of statehood on June 15. To celebrate, the Old State House Museum is throwing a birthday bash with the help of local shops and restaurants across central Arkansas.

The vendors are providing special offers to the public through June 15 where a portion of all proceeds from those sales will be donated to the OSMH for programming and artifact conservation.

Here’s where to spend to help the OSHM:

  • Arkansas Flag and Banner – 10% donation from the sale of their most popular home flag kit
  • Mockingbird Bar and Tacos – $1 donation from every sale of queso or hibiscus tea lemonade
  • Cypress Social – 10% donation from every sale of a frozen coconut margarita
  • Fassler Hall – $1 donation from every sale of a pretzel
  • Rock City Outfitters – $10 donation from every sale of an Arkansas-themed T-shirt or cap
  • The Root Café – $1 donation from every sale of a honey ginger lemonade.
  • Stone’s Throw Brewery (both locations) – $1 donation from every sale of a George Brothers Ale
  • WordsWorth Books – 15% donation from every sale of an Arkansas-themed book
  • Bedford Camera – 10% donation from every sale of a 8×10 print
  • Minute Man Restaurant – 10% donation from every sale of a #3, Original Minute Man Cheeseburger meal
