Sports gear, outdoor necessities, everything you need to hang on the sidelines — Little Rock shoppers will soon have a new place to find all of these items: Dick’s Sporting Goods.
According to our sister publication, Arkansas Business, the chain will occupy the space in the McCain Plaza Shopping Center that was once home to the now-demolished Cinemark Tandy 10 movie theater in North Little Rock.
Dick’s has more than 675 locations across the country offering shoppers a variety of high-quality sports equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories.
Alongside construction of the new 50,000 SF Dick’s store, the rest of McCain Plaza will also be renovated. The Tandy 10 closed in October 2014, but the likes of Bed Bath & Beyond, Michaels, T.J. Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Burlington Coat Factory and Petsmart still anchor the center.
Dick’s Sporting Goods is set to open in spring of 2018.
