North Little Rock CVB to Host Summer Music Series at Argenta Plaza

The North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau will host a free monthly Summer Music Series throughout the season at Argenta Plaza.

“Our goal is to have regular events at Argenta Plaza that will bring in locals and visitors to North Little Rock,” said Erica Warden, the director of sales and events for NLRCVB. “We want our visitors to have an exciting weekend filled with fun activities and good food.”

Each event in the Argenta Plaza Summer Music Series will feature an opening performance at 5 p.m. and headliner at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can bring their own lawn chairs and are encouraged to bring food and drinks from Argenta restaurants. Free parking is available throughout the neighborhood.

The Argenta Plaza Summer Music Series kicks off June 19 with Josh Stewart and local band A Year & A Day, known for classic-style rock in the tradition of bands like Pink Floyd, Yes and Jefferson Starship. The June concert also coincides with outdoor dining on Main Street and other third weekend in Argenta events.

On July 17, SYNRG (Trio) will open for The Rodney Block Collective and on Aug, 21, Ten Penny Gypsy will open for bluegrass-influenced The Gravel Yard.

“We wanted to offer a variety of musical genres as well as show off some of our well-loved Arkansas musicians,” Warden said.

The monthly events are free and open to the public.
