Next Thea Art Department to Feature Bri Peterson

Thea Foundation’s popular Art Department series is back on the calendar for June, this time featuring the work of Bri Peterson.

In her exhibit “Stay Gold,” Peterson’s signature style will be on display, showcasing a colorful, mixed-media taste of nostalgia and pop culture references like Michael Jordan mid dunk, Mulder and Scully from “The X Files” and the monosyllabic aliens from “Mars Attacks.”

Peterson’s work regularly pops up in galleries and shops around the Little Rock metro, including as part of the Drain Smart mini mural project. Outside of the studio, Peterson is an art teacher who teaches drawing, 2D design and painting.

An opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Thursday, June 6, at 5:30 p.m. and includes hors d’oeuvres and drinks. “Stay Gold” will be on display through June 27.
