“Then, Now, Next: Reimagining the Arkansas Arts Center” is a new exhibit designed to explore the past, celebrate the present and imagine the future of a pillar in the arts community in Arkansas. The exhibit is on display in the Winthrop Rockefeller Gallery, the walls of which include the AAC’s original 1937 facade.
The exhibit is broken into three sections. “Then” highlights the AAC’s history with a detailed timeline and major milestones for the collections, building and programs. “Now” dives into the AAC’s current initiatives, covering everything from the “Delta Exhibition” to weekly Feed Your Mind Friday meetups. “Next” features an in-depth look at the Studio Gang and SCAPE Studios designs for the brand new AAC, set to open in 2022.
“Then, Now, Next” is on display now and will be on view through June 30, just before the AAC moves into a temporary space in Riverdale.
