The minds behind Petit & Keet, Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe and Paninis and Company are bringing a new restaurant concept to Little Rock. JTJ Restaurants LLC will open Watercolor in the Park inside the Arkansas Arts Center (AAC) on Nov. 28.
Watercolor in the Park, open Tuesday-Saturday, will offer a gourmet coffee and quiche menu from 10-11 a.m. and a full menu from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The restaurant will also serve brunch on Sundays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m, beginning on Dec. 9.
The new eatery will serve casual new American cuisine under the direction of executive chef Howard Wilson. The new menu will feature house-made soups, pasta, shrimp, salmon and handhelds. Watercolor in the Park will also be the exclusive caterer for the AAC and Terry House events.
“We’re excited to partner with the AAC to provide a brand new culinary experience in MacArthur Park,” said Jim Keet, chairman of JTJ Restaurants LLC. “Watercolor in the Park will feature a chef-driven lunch menu, reasonable prices and great service. We have worked with the fantastic and professional staff at the AAC to create a new atmosphere, menu and artistic experience for the city. We will continue to coordinate with the staff on menus for kids and adults at special events in the near future.”
True to its name, Watercolor in the Park will feature watercolor collections courtesy of the Mid-Southern Watercolorists.
