National Margarita Day: 3 Delicious Recipes

With National Drink Wine Day past us, there is another special holiday to get kind of excited about: National Margarita Day, happening Saturday (Feb. 22)!

According to a recent survey done by the Experiential Agency, who respresents Milagro Tequila, 91 percent of people prefer their margarita fresh rather than using a pre-packaged mix. And at least two-thirds of people preferred salt on the rim over sugar, as well as Silver tequila over Reposado.

So, after you’ve gotten everything done off your Saturday to-do list, here is a look at three delicious margarita recipes you can make at home:

The Milagro Freshest Margarita

  • 2 parts Milagro Silver Tequila
  • ¾ part Agave Nectar
  • 1 part Fresh Lime Juice

Pour all ingredients in a Boston Shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a  lime wheel.

The Veracruzana Pineapple Margarita

  • 2 parts Milagro Reposado Tequila
  • ¾ part Agave Nectar
  • 1 part Fresh Lime Juice
  • 4 Pineapple Chunks
  • 2 Basil Leaves

Muddle pineapple and basil leaves in a Boston shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake vigorously with ice. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish cocktail with pineapple and basil.

The Milagro Blood Orange Margarita
  • 1 ½ parts Milagro Silver Tequila
  • ¾ part Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
  • 1 part Fresh Lime Juice
