Music in the Garden Comes to Dunbar This May

This is how you liven up a garden.

The Dunbar Garden is set to host its annual springtime fundraiser, Music in the Garden, on Saturday, May 11, from 4-8 p.m.

The garden party includes lots of delicious eats, including pork or veggie carnitas with ingredients from the garden prepared by Chef Patrick Herron of the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion, as well as the “Bee Sting,” a specialty cocktail by mixologist Bo Bennett.

Activities for the evening include an art auction, bingo, a kids’ corner and live music from The Going Jessies, Hemmed in Hollow, McBroom and the Good for Nothings and Empress Beatrice and the Sun People.

This two-acre, full-service community garden serves as an outdoor classroom for Gibbs International Magnet Elementary School and Dunbar Magnet Middle School, along with providing volunteer and learning opportunities for all locals.

Learn more and get your tickets at the Dunbar Garden website, and follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
