Two full days of movie magic? Yes, please.
With the 2020 Academy Awards just a few weeks away, Hollywood is prepping for its biggest night. The rest of us, however, are looking at the list of nominees and realizing just how few movies we saw in the last year.
If you’re in the same boat, or just want to rewatch your fave recent flicks, Movie Tavern is hosting its first-ever Best Picture Festival where attendees can catch all seven Best Picture- nominated movies back-to-back over two Saturdays.
Here’s the lineup:
Feb. 1
- 10:30 a.m. – Nominated live-action short films (various ratings, 120 minutes)
- 1:05 p.m. – “Little Women” (PG, 135 minutes)
- 3:55 p.m. – “1917” (R, 119 minutes)
- 6:35 p.m. – “Jojo Rabbit” (PG-13, 108 minutes)
- 9 p.m. – “Joker” (R, 122 minutes)
Feb. 8
- 10:30 a.m. – Nominated animated short films (various ratings, 85 minutes)
- 12:30 p.m. – “Ford v Ferrari” (PG-13, 151 minutes)
- 3:40 p.m. – “Parasite” (R, 132 minutes)
- 6:35 p.m. – “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (R, 161 minutes)
To sweeten the deal, moviegoers will get 20% off all food and drinks, as well as access to a special dining package that includes unlimited popcorn and soda and two meal vouchers for any appetizer, salad, sandwich, smash burger, pizza or dessert, as well as gratuity.
