The Mid-Southern Watercolorists 46th Annual Juried Exhibition is returning to the Arkansas Arts Center beginning Friday, Feb. 12.

“Our annual exhibition is our premier event and it truly exemplifies our mission to elevate the stature of watercolor and to educate the public about the significance of watercolor,” said MSW president B. Jeannie Fry.

This year is the sophomore run of the three-year partnership between the group and the AAC. The exhibition began with 136 entries by 74 different artists, which were then narrowed down to approximately 30 works, chosen by nationally renown watercolorist Robert Burridge.

“MSW has a long tradition of exhibiting its juried works at the Arkansas Arts Center and many of its members’ watercolors are in the Arkansas Arts Center Foundation Collection. We are thrilled to have our 46th Annual Juried Exhibition in this prestigious facility,” Fry said.

Headquartered in Arkansas, the MSW boasts more than 200 members in more than 10 states across the mid-South, and is one of the largest and most active art communities in the state.

The exhibition will run until Wednesday, April 27. Hours of operation are 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sunday.
