Methodist Family Health is the only comprehensive behavioral and psychiatric healthcare system for children and families in Arkansas.
Founded in 1899 as an orphanage, MFH’s nonprofit organizations provide comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral healthcare to more than 2,400 clients daily via a whole continuum of services.
Methodist Family Health’s “Continuum of Care” addresses a long-standing issue with our mental health system: fragmentation of services. For years, children with difficult behavior problems would get bounced around from one service provider to another because none offered a comprehensive set of services. For children who had been abused, abandoned or suffered from a serious mental illness, this constant changing of doctors, medications, settings and treatment plans compounded their problems. The system of care at Methodist Family Health allows children and adolescents to stay with one organization regardless of the problems they face — allowing them to receive consistent, stable care in a loving, respectful environment for as long as needed.
The mission at Methodist Family Health is to give the best possible care to those who may need our help and to treat the whole person: behaviorally, emotionally and spiritually.
The MFH team of professionals includes board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, master’s level clinical therapists, case managers, nurses and behavioral instructors.
