Men on a Mission 2024: Todd McGuire

Todd McGuire
COO, Birch Tree Communities

HOW I KNEW THIS WAS MY PASSION
When I first joined Birch Tree Communities several years ago, I was told I would either stay six months or 30 years. From the start, I knew where I belonged. Witnessing the deep care our clients have and their unwavering drive to recover made it clear that this work is my true passion.

NONPROFIT I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT
It’s us, Birch Tree Communities! We are doing amazing work around the state with adults struggling with serious mental illnesses. We provide our folks with the tools they need to recover and work toward a healthy life in the community.

ONE PRACTICE I USE TO MAINTAIN MY MENTAL HEALTH
Life is all about balance. I strive to give my best in every aspect of my life while ensuring I maintain equilibrium. I make it a priority to nurture my spiritual, mental, physical and emotional well-being, all while working hard each day.

IN THE DETAILS:
Hometown: Benton
Favorite Local Purchase: Anything from TRUE Gentlemen
Little Rock’s Hidden Gem: It is hard to beat a good, long run at Two Rivers Park early in the morning when the deer are still grazing around.
Sunday Routine: Workout, church with the family where my wife and I teach a life group class, then lunch and relaxing by the pool (unless we are at the baseball fields)
Favorite Local Dish: Ribeye at Maddie’s Place or the ribeye and truffle fries at 501 Prime Hobbies: I love to go to church, spend time with my family, work out, hunt, golf and coach and watch my kids play sports.
