A SKILL I NEVER EXPECTED TO USE IN THIS FIELD
Taking imperfect action. Waiting for something to be perfect is usually just an excuse to procrastinate or not show up.
BIGGEST CHALLENGES IN MY CAREER
Shiny object syndrome. I am a sucker for shiny objects, side hustles and new projects. Some of my ideas are stupid, but the rest of them are really, really stupid. My wife attempts to keep me grounded and focused.
ONE PRACTICE I USE TO MAINTAIN MY MENTAL HEALTH
I am in my car a lot. While occasionally I listen to music, the older I get, the more I just drive in silence. With our minds rarely getting a break, it helps me to just let my thoughts wonder.
IN THE DETAILS:
Hometown: Russellville
Favorite Local Purchase: Long Pool Pale Ale from Point Remove Brewery in Morrilton. Delicious.
Little Rock’s Hidden Gem: HarvestFest in Hillcrest
Sunday Routine: Watching my kids play competitive sports. Just about every weekend we are somewhere out of state watching soccer or baseball, and it is an absolute blast. Favorite Local Dish: Steak southwest rice bowl from Tacos 4 Life
Hobbies: Hanging with my wife Melanie (which usually entails watching our three kids play sports), lifting weights and dabbling with a side hustle
