Men on a Mission 2024: Ahmed Samad

Ahmed Samad
CEO, Arkansas Surgery & Endoscopy Center | Digestive Care

HOW I KNEW THIS WAS MY PASSION
I always had an interest in the health care field and wanted to follow in the footsteps of my father. My interest in both health care and business management led me to a career where I could help people and work together to provide the highest level of quality care to our patients.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED
I have received a lot of great advice and learned a lot of valuable lessons. To sum it up, strive for excellence, maintain a healthy work-life balance, seize opportunities, don’t be afraid to take risks, do your due diligence and always be ready for a challenge.

MY FIRST JOB & WHAT IT TAUGHT ME
My journey started with a summer internship at my father’s gastroenterology clinic when I was 9. I gained experience in every role over the years, building a solid foundation for a career in health care management. I learned key skills which allowed me to excel in practice management, surgery centers and ancillary services.
