Men on a Mission 2023: Laine Harber

BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR
Without a doubt, the grand reopening of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in April 2023 – a project I worked on from its inception in 2015.

NONPROFIT I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT
Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance whose mission is to collaborate as a statewide voice advancing equitable solutions to hunger. Their vision is to create a hunger-free Arkansas, and they are truly moving the needle.

WHAT KEEPS ME COMING BACK TO MY JOB EVERY DAY
Every day I am surrounded by an amazing team, and I get the joy of seeing our community gather at AMFA to explore the galleries and enjoy all the programs we offer. It’s an added bonus that I too get to participate in all the fun happenings at AMFA!

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED
Take the golden rule a step further by following the “platinum rule,” which recognizes the importance of individual differences and enables people to adapt their behavior to meet the unique needs and preferences of others.

ONE PRACTICE I USE TO MAINTAIN MY MENTAL HEALTH
Talk things out, and if all else fails, binge watch Seinfeld.

ONE THING I WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MY COMPANY
Admission to the museum is always free, and everyone is welcome and treated as a valued guest. There’s something for everyone right here in Little Rock at AMFA, and, among other things, it’s fun!
