BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR
My best career moment was when WLJ hired me. My dad always told me it was the best firm in Arkansas, so it was my first choice from the moment I decided to go to law school.
WHAT KEEPS ME COMING BACK TO MY JOB EVERY DAY
Payday? In all seriousness, I am fortunate to work on interesting cases across a broad array of subject areas with my colleagues at WLJ, who are some of the best lawyers in the country. I’m lucky they keep me around.
ONE PRACTICE I USE TO MAINTAIN MY MENTAL HEALTH
I try not to worry about things I can’t change. Practicing law can be a tough profession, with a lot of little things that can eat away at you if you’re not careful. Perspective helps a lot.
LESSON I LEARNED THE HARD WAY
Handling failure. Through all levels of school, I excelled. But I didn’t transition to legal practice well, and I struggled to perform at first. It was hard, but I figured it out. That struggle made me a better lawyer.
