HOW I KNEW THIS WAS MY PASSION
Growing up, I played with crystals and minerals on the rich grounds of my childhood. Designing and creating extraordinary jewelry is in my DNA.
BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR
Apart from the day I accepted Sissy and Bill Jones’ offer to work at Sissy’s Log Cabin, working to create the jewelry technology curriculum at SEARK College is among my top career highlights.
BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED
From my late father: When things are difficult, work twice as hard.
WHAT KEEPS ME MOTIVATED
My children, who are both scientists. Hopefully, someday I will achieve the greatness of being in the shadow of their accomplishments.
A SKILL I NEVER EXPECTED TO USE IN THIS FIELD
Verbal communication. Being an introvert by nature and a loner by trade, I never thought that communicating in a second language would become paramount in my professional activities.
