Martina McBride to Headline BBBSCA 42nd Annual Toast & Roast

Just when you thought Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas’ annual Toast & Roast couldn’t get any better, BBBSCA kicks it up a Nashville notch.

Now in its 42nd year, the event has its sights set on honoree Greg Hatcher, owner of The Hatcher Agency and supporter of BBBSCA, who even served as a Big Brother.

“I have always enjoyed helping young people. That’s why becoming a Big Brother was such an easy decision for me,” Hatcher said in a press release. “I’m humbled by this honor and am proud to be part of an organization that helps youth when they need it the most.”

But honoring (and poking fun at) Hatcher isn’t all guests can look forward to this year: Country music star Martina McBride will perform a private 90-minute concert for those in attendance. With more than 15 major music awards under her belt (and 14 Grammy nominations), McBride will now lend her talents to help raise funds for BBBSCA.

“We are thrilled to have Martina McBride headline this year’s event,” board member and event chairman Kristi Dannelley said. “During its 40-year history, Toast has raised more than $2 million to support youth in central Arkansas. Thanks to an anonymous donor’s support, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime event for our community and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas.”

This year’s BBBSCA Toast & Roast will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock. There are a limited amount of tickets and sponsorships available, so click here to learn more about the event or call (501) 374-6661.
