Rejoice, local produce lovers! The New South Produce Cooperative — formerly known as Foodshed Farms — Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is ready to fill your kitchen with fall eats.
If you’re unfamiliar with the program, here’s the gist: Buying a share gets you a weekly or biweekly box of certified organic, seasonal produce from Arkansas farmers for either 8 or 16 weeks. You even have the option to add local meats, jellies, flowers and cheeses to your share.
“When you buy food from our farmers, you will eat with confidence knowing that it was grown in Arkansas and that it will stay fresher longer,” says New South. “Buying locally means you are strengthening the economic base of our community.”
Shareholders can pick up their boxes at various designated locations around Little Rock, such as:
- Heifer International
- Arkansas Children’s Hospital Fitness Center
- Fellowship Bible Church
- Unitarian Universalist Church
- New South Warehouse
Shares are limited, however, so don’t wait to get yours. Check out the New South website for details and to reserve your CSA share today.
