In our September issue, we outlined Little Rock’s growing brew scene with old favorites and new faces.
Little Rocktoberfest, however, needs no introduction. The state’s premier brew and craft beer festival is entering its 11th year produced by the Central Arkansas Fermenters (CAF) at War Memorial Stadium on Sept. 27.
The CAF is one of the largest home brew clubs in the country and is devoted to spreading the gospel of at-home brewing of beer, ciders, wines and other beverages. Putting on events like Little Rocktoberfest helps to educate the public, but also like to get involved with local charities.
This year, a portion of the proceeds will go toward The One, Inc., a nonprofit organization serving the homeless population.
The 2014 Little Rocktoberfest will feature a bratwurst dinner, along with other food, access to the football field, SEC games on the Jumbotron, door prizes, live music by the Itinerant Locals and the stars of the show, over 50 home-brewed beers and hundreds of commercial beers.
