Oh, brave and chivalrous knights, ye who are training for the Little Rock Marathon (Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, etc.), thou hast quite the jewel awaiting thee at the finish line.
This annual race through our fair city is famous for its larger-than-life medals (seriously, these things are the size of dinner plates). Every year, Gina Marchese Pharis and Geneva Lamm — the CICs (Chicks in Charge) — have fun teasing audiences on social media before the announcement of the upcoming race’s theme and medal reveal.
Back in August, the duo unveiled the 2018 Little Rock Marathon theme: What’s Your Quest? But now we finally got a look at the big bling:
The 2018 race weekend is set for March 3-4. The 5K and 10K will take place on Saturday at 7:30 a.m., followed by the kids’ race at 11 a.m. The full and half marathons are on Sunday with a start time of 7 a.m.
