Whether working out has been your savior during the pandemic or you’re looking for a way to get back into the swing of things, the Little Rock Marathon is inviting you to get moving in the heart of the city.
The 19th annual race will take place in person March 6-7, 2021, and registration is open now. The full and half marathon are officially on, as are the 10K and 5K races with new routes. The free training program is back as well, which you can learn more about here.
After teasing followers on social media, the CICs (Chicks in Charge Gina and Geneva) also recently announced the theme for 2021: “Runderland,” meaning you just might see Alice and the Mad Hatter on this particular run.
As you might guess, the 2021 event will look different than previous years, including the decision to cancel the Little Rockers kids marathon. Organizers have a thorough list of protocols in place to help keep runners safe. Click here to read them all.
Of course, regulations and precautions are subject to change, so keep an eye out for updates. Should the races be canceled due to COVID-19, participants will have the option to defer their entry until the 2022 event, as there is no virtual event in the works.
Register and learn more at the Little Rock Marathon website, and follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
