Little Rock Gets Specialized Bicycling App

We know there’s a group of you out there who really do enjoy riding your bikes, but for whatever reasons, you just don’t seem to get out there that much, which means you probably know less about the local bike-friendly routes and streets, but you don’t really want to ask anyone because you don’t want to look like a total poser, which means you’re still clueless, and now you’re stuck giving yourself pep talks in the mirror in a weird jr. high deja vu. And we know there are more of you than you will ever admit.

Now you can take your secret to the grave because Little Rock is getting a My City Bikes app.

J & P Bike Shop in Sherwood joined forces with the My City Bikes campaign to create Little Rock Bikes, the “official guide to beginner biking in Little Rock.” Specializing in creating locally specific apps, the Little Rock version will help you find routes, trails and even fellow riders. Need to know some basic maintenance right this second? Done. Need to find a non-threatening bike shop for the stuff that’s over your head? Not a problem.

My City Bikes isn’t just about app-building, they’re big proponents of public health. Whether you’re worried about bad knees, car exhaust or just need to get the old ticker pumping, bicycling is your answer.

The Little Rock Bikes app will be available for free on both Apple and Android devices in April, so go ahead and delete some stuff now to make room. To learn more, visit the My City Bikes website.

Never fear, Josie Grossie. Your secret is safe with us.
