Little Rock Artists Featured in Traveling Exhibition

Fellow citizens of Little Rock, we have some pretty talented neighbors. Starting in 2017, the whole state will get to see just how talented they are in the 30th annual Small Works on Paper traveling exhibition put on by the Arkansas Arts Council.

Small Works on Paper features the works of 36 artists from across Arkansas that were specifically selected for the show as part of the Arkansas Artist Registry. The works are no bigger than 18 x 24 inches and will travel the state, stopping at 10 galleries over the course of the year.

Little Rock had a strong showing in the 36-artist lineup. Here are the locals who will be featured:

  • Cindy L. Adams
  • John W. Ahlen
  • Lynn Bell
  • Matthew Castellano
  • Gary Cawood
  • Brian Cormack
  • Margo Duvall
  • Ike Garlington
  • Lloyd L. Litsey
  • Cindy Momchilov
  • Alex Moomey
  • Daniella Napolitano
  • Robert R. Simmons
  • Tod Swiecichowski
  • Elizabeth Weber

Extra props go to Daniella Napolitano who was chosen as a purchase award winner, meaning she’ll receive a cash prize and her work will become part of the exhibition’s permanent collection.

As for when you can see the show, Small Works on Paper will be at the William F. Laman Library in North Little Rock April 5-28. For more information on Small Works on Paper, visit the Arkansas Arts Council website.
