Legends of Arkansas Launches ‘CommUNITY’ Event Aug. 6

It may be another month before we really hit festival season, but we’ve already got our eyes on the prize.

One of the events on our schedule is the fourth annual Legends of Arkansas Music & Art Festival scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, in the core of Argenta. In this (free) day dedicated to all things Arkansas, you’ll find local artists and vendors, many a food truck, kids activities and tons of live music.

But this year, Legends is throwing a pre-game party on Saturday, Aug. 6, called CommUNITY Fest that takes the Arkansas love a step further by celebrating the neighborhood spirit. Police officers get in free to the event designed to build relationships, and it’s all set to the live sounds of Watertown, Chris DeClerk, Big Piph, Go Fast and more.

Guests wil also have the chance to give to The Van, even buy T-shirts. Plus, if you bring a $10 gas card for The Van, you get in for free.

The party goes down at 8 p.m. Stickyz Rock N’ Roll Chicken Shack. For details on CommUNITY Fest, check out the Facebook event page.
